VENEW OD is indicated for the treatment of adults with major depressive disorder (MDD)
How it works
Desvenlafaxine is used to treat depression. Desvenlafaxine is in a class of medications called selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs). It works by increasing the amounts of serotonin and norepinephrine, natural substances in the brain that help maintain mental balance.
Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine drug having anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, muscle relaxant, amnestic, sedative, and hypnotic properties
Indications
VENEW OD is indicated for the treatment of adults with major depressive disorder (MDD)
Dosage
The recommended dose for VENEW OD is 50 mg once daily, with or without food. The 50 mg dose is both a starting dose and the therapeutic dose. VENEW OD should be taken at approximately the same time each day. Tablets must be swallowed whole with fluid and not divided, crushed, chewed, or dissolved.

• Hypersensitivity Suicidal Thoughts and Behaviors in Pediatric and Young Adult Patients
• Serotonin Syndrome
• Elevated Blood Pressure
• Increased Risk of Bleeding
• Angle Closure Glaucoma
• Activation of Mania/Hypomania
• Discontinuation Syndrome
• Seizure
• Hyponatremia
• Interstitial Lung Disease and Eosinophilic Pneumonia
• Sexual Dysfunction
Contraindication
• Hypersensitivity to desvenlafaxine succinate, venlafaxine hydrochloride or to any excipients in the VENEW OD formulation. Angioedema has been reported in patients treated with VENEW OD.
• The use of MAOIs intended to treat psychiatric disorders with VENEW OD or within 7 days of stopping treatment with VENEW OD is contraindicated because of an increased risk of serotonin syndrome. The use of VENEW OD within 14 days of stopping an MAOI intended to treat psychiatric disorders is also contraindicated.
• Starting VENEW OD in a patient who is being treated with MAOIs such as linezolid or intravenous methylene blue is also contraindicated because of an increased risk of serotonin syndrome.
