How it works
GOVERT PLUS MD Tablet containing (CINNARIZINE 20mg + DIMENHYDRINATE 40mg) used to treat vertigo. Cinnarizine is a calcium channel antagonist which works by preventing constriction of the blood vessels of the inner ear. This improves the microcirculation of the ear. Dimenhydrinate is an antiallergic. It blocks the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) that is responsible for light-headedness in vertigo. Thus this is a combination medicine which acts by relaxing vascular smooth muscles of the blood vessels of the ear and improves the blood circulation. It also blocks the action of a chemical messenger that is responsible for light headedness in vertigo..
Indications
Treatment of Vertigo
Dosage
1. Disease: Vertigo
2. Before or After Meal: After Meal
3. Single Maximum Dose: 1 Tablet
4. Dosage Form: Tablet
5. Dosage Route: Oral
6. Frequency: 3 daily max (OR AS DIRECTED BY PHYSICIAN)
7. Course Duration: 4 weeks (OR AS DIRECTED BY PHYSICIAN)
Side Effects
1. Drowsiness,
2. Dryness in mouth,
3. Headache,
4. Stomach pain
Contraindication
1. GOVERT PLUS may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you.
2. Do not drink alcohol while taking GOVERT PLUS as it may cause increased sleepiness.
3. GOVERT PLUS is not recommended to women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
