How it works

Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist (LTRA) used for the maintenance treatment of asthma and to relieve symptoms of seasonal allergies.

Side Effects

somnolence, hyperactivity in children, dry mouth, mild drowsiness and GI disturbances.

Contraindication

Contraindicated in patients with an allergy to either or both drugs, hepatic impairment, NSAID allergy, Churg-Strauss syndrome.
