Evening Primrose Oil :
It is a rich source of omega-6 fatty acids including linolenic acid & Gamma-Linolenic Acid(GLA). The body eventually converts GLA into prostaglandins – hormones necessary for a number of important functions.
The medicinal action of Evening Primrose Oil revolves around the omega-6-fatty acid portion, linoleic and gamma-linolenic acid, and its relationship with prostaglandin synthesis. In optimum conditions, linoleic acid is converted to GLA by the enzyme delta-6-desaturase. The GLA produced is further converted to dihomogamma-linolenic acid, which in turn leads to arachidonic acid. The dihomogamma-linolenic acid gives rise to the prostaglandin-1 series, whereas the arachadonic acid results in production of prostaglandin-2 series.

COD LIVER OIL:
Cod liver oil, as the name suggests, is the essential oil extracted from the livers of Atlantic cod. Cod liver oil is a nutritional supplement derived from liver of cod fish. As with most fish oils, it has high levels of the omega-3 fatty acids,eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Cod liver oil also contains vitamin A and vitamin D.

STARFLOWER, also known as Borage (Borago officinalis), is an annual herb. It is native to the Mediterranean region It grows satisfactorily in gardens in the UK climate, remaining in the garden from year to year by self-seeding. The leaves are edible and the plant is grown in gardens for that purpose in some parts of Europe. The plant is also commercially cultivated for borage seed oil extracted from its seeds.

Borage oil is rich in essential fatty acids, vital for the skins health and contains many skin nurturing vitamins and fatty acids that will help rejuvenate and revitalize. In massage it is considered to have numerous benefits for the skin and an ideal mix is 50% Borage Oil blended with 50% Almond, Sweet, Carrier Oil for example is ideal for use in massage. It is thought to give the skin a more youthful appearance and can help with dry, damaged or hormonal affected skin.
